This is my first time as a guest blogger on Layla Grayce and I am so happy to be part of their selected designers! The girls, Tiffany and Wendy, hold a special place in my heart for it was many years ago that they came to me seeking advice and product to open their web site. The world of web retailing was new then and they took a great idea and built www.laylagrayce.com which is today a fabulous, go-to site for all things in the world of home décor. Through the years they have also been super supportive of my line which is why I am so happy that they are one a few selected web retailers to carry the new “Annette Tatum” line as well as my new book The Well Dressed Home.

Fall has arrived and it’s that time of the year to pull out the best recipes for the Holidays. Here is a twist on the classic pumpkin pie that is easy to make and special enough for a fussy crowd, including those that don’t care for pumpkin pie (this includes me)! The addition of the eggnog gives this pie a less intense taste and rich flavor. Enjoy!

• When the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor play, crafty “paint your own” projects rule
• Starting a family garden may seems like a lot of work (and it is), but observing the growth of the crops and reaping the benefits can be truly rewarding for everyone.
